The Ghosts of Yesterday is a 1918 American silent adventure drama film directed by Charles Miller and starring Norman Talmadge, Eugene O’Brien, and Stuart Holmes. It is based on the play Two Women by Rupert Hughes. By Select Pictures, Scenario by Mildred Considine. "Adapted from the successful play Two Women with Norma Talmadge displaying her versatility in a dual role. Ruth Grahame, a demure little seamstress, reforms Howard Marston, a spendthrift artist, but dies from an illness brought on by poverty: later he becomes rich and, desiring to finish the portrait of his dead wife, he takes as a model, La Fleur, the queen of the Bal Tabarin, also played by Norma Talmadge.
