A very rare circa 1961 ephemera find relating to the history of SPADE COOLEY! This was found at an estate sale in Laguna Beach, California. This is an 11 x 17 inch advertisement for the "NOW UNDER CONSTRUCTION" but "never opened" WATER WONDERLAND PROJECT in Willow Springs, Kern County, California. It's got some wear and tear, but but it's still holding together pretty nicely.
The story about SPADE COOLEY is very long and interesting, I won't get into it here, but it involves the KING OF WESTERN SWING, Singing Cowboys, KTLA Television Shows, SEX CULTS, Homicide, FAMOUS MURDER TRIAL, and much more.
