This large size 98 year old print comes from a collection of 18 lithograph plates published by the Du Pont Sporting Powder Division in 1917! These plates were rescued from a badly damaged book titled "Our American Game Birds" and featured paintings by Lynn Hunt, a famous hunter-sportsman-artist who is credited with over 100 Field & Stream cover illustrations! On the back side is information about the bird and an advertisement for Du Pont shotgun powder loads. Printed on thicker type stock paper. The large size makes it perfect for framing. Some of the margin areas of these plates have aging color, foxing, small edge tears-holes, and moisture stains. The date of 1917 is printed just below the image on the left side. We have left the spine edge untrimmed to accommodate matting and framing better. Please examine the images for a better idea of condition. Because of the large size, this item will be shipped in a carefully packaged tube.
