From a large private collection of San Antonio historical documents...
Football game handbill flyer... looks like it is from the early 1900's, a pencil written date looks like Nov. 13, 1909 to me. Possible player names on the back. If anyone can figure out the date for sure, please let me know.
A kind eBay customer wrote to me and said the following... Hi. Nice item. FYI Clark Field was in Austin and was where University of Texas played their games prior to the construction of Memorial Stadium. Clark Field was built by the students at UT. This bill seems to be for a game between the San Antonio High School team and the "scrubs" for the University of Texas team (not the Varsity squad). It seems that there would be an organizing function in coordination with a cheerleader in anticipation of the University of Texas Varsity football games versus Texas A&M and the other team mentioned at the bottom.
