Rare 1936 ICE & FLOODS Holtwood & Safe Harbor History Genealogy Photographs Penn

Very hard to find first edition book! Pictorial monograph about the flooding in March 1936 and how they battled the flood and ice! Some great historical photos!

The last section is kind of like an employee yearbook, it has photos of officers and employees at Holtwood Hydro and Property, Holtwood Steam and Coal Production, Safe harbor Hydro and Property, Field Engineering and Construction, Transmission Lines, Substations, Load Dispatching, Test Department, & Baltimore Office.

157 pages, 8 x 10.7 inches, the cover shows wear and tear, the rest of the book is just fine, clean and solid. Published by Pennsylvania Water & Power Company, Safe Harbor Water Power Corporation, 1936.

The inscription on the cover is what can be found on a bronze tablet commemorating the courage and skill of all employees involved in fighting the flood.

The name on the cover is Fitzhugh B. McGrady, one of the employees found in this book, there is a pencil notation by Mrs. McGrady on the last blank page.
