Very hard to find original silent movie theater herald for STELLA MARIS (1918) starring “America’s Sweetheart” MARY PICKFORD. This is from THE BUTLER theatre in Tonopah, Nevada. Stella Maris… Story by William J. Locke, scenario by Frances Marion, directed by Marshall Neilan, produced by ARTCRAFT PICTURES CORPORATION. It's 7 inches tall, and 8.3 inches wide when opened up. Used condition, off center fold mark, vertical crease mark, tiny tear on the top. See images.

For the first time in her career Mary Pickford undertakes a dual role, playing the part of Stella Maris, a sweet, gentle girl, and Unity Blake, the ugly and deformed orphan. Through remarkable trick photography, both characters are shown on the screen at the same time, and effects are obtained which have never heretofore been successfully attempted.
